Perfect First Date

If there was a perfect first date... what would it be?

I found the answer to that question on Saturday.

Was picked up by my new friend 'B' and we drove to a beautiful seaside restaurant / lounge.  Had a couple drinks there, along with great conversation for about an hour.  This place was gonna close up for the night because of the curfew in our country, so we left and drove to the popular "strip" of clubs / bars and hung out at another bar, again, having fantastic conversation and getting to know each other.  Of course, it was almost curfew time and neither of us wanted to end this night just yet... it was so cool and easy spending time together.

We left there and decided to drive up to his neighbourhood where we stopped and had a couple drinks at another bar.. all the while never having one awkward moment!  After our beers there, we left in search of another.. we were bar-hopping so we might as well do it well right!  Little did we know that we had another thing coming!

We drove to an area that apparently was under police protection and was pulled over... fortunately for us, the officers were lenient and let us go... said we need to get off the road before they "teach us the expensive way"...  We didnt hesitate.. my date was quite calm and co-operative with the officers, which was impressive.  Of course, this now meant that we would have to get off the road, but where would we go?  Well, we went to his place.. and as hesitant as I was, I soon realised I had no reason to be!  B treated me with the utmost of respect!  We sat out on the porch of the house which by the way, was overlooking the entire country... (slight exaggeration)... lol..

We sat out there for the next three and a half hours talking and talking and talking... watching the beauty of the country at night!  It was simply amazing!  After curfew was over (at 4 a.m.) he dropped me home, gave me a peck on my cheek and said goodnight.. checked in with me when he got home and that was that!  Perfect!

Yes folks, to me, that was a perfect first date!  Hopefully, it was a sign of things to come... but we'll see!
