Over the Easter Weekend I had lots of time to spend with my kids. Like it or not, we stayed at home and played and did stuff in our apartment, etc. The challenges of raising kids on your own is not to taken lightly. My teenage boy (on his way to being an adult) is pulling at my very last nerve! I wish he would stop being so anal and he wishes I would just leave him alone.
My two-year old is being a typical two year old!! Screaming, throwing tantrums, trying every trick in the book to get her own way and to see how far she can go before getting a small spanking! (yeah I only give small spankings, I dont believe in hitting kids, but at her age, its one of the ways to instill some discipline)
On Monday last, I posted something here and I only just realised how I may have signed my own death warrant by posting those words. I said and I quote "I swear, if I ever have a another child, I would die!" Now, I dont know about you, but I truly believe that there lies serious Power in the spoken word and this being the written word, its probably even more solid and concrete that words that come out of a mouth. I DO NOT wish to die when and if I have another child.. and I rebuke that thought in the name of Jesus Christ!! I refuse to allow my thoughtless banter to place a self-imposed curse on my life!
Sometimes when we speak or write, we need to be careful what we say, as it MAY very well materialise. So in this case, I will say that I will, by the Grace and Mercy of the Almighty God, have a long and healthy life and will enjoy successes beyond my wildest imagination. I will have a wonderful husband and my kids will love me and receive my love freely. I will have beautiful grandchildren and wonderful in-laws. I will have my own business the fruits of which will be enjoyed by my entire family! I will own my own house and my kids will have successful careers and lives and they will both marry people who will truly love them. I will travel to destinations that are desirable, beautiful and safe. I will live, love and laugh. My family and I will know God in such an intimate way, that the world around us will see Him through our lives. We will be His shining example!! In Jesus most wonderful and Holy name!! Amen!
ps. I will also say that starting from NOW I will not experience any trouble to get the things that I need to get to make all the things above happen!
