Do you remember a couple days ago I posted about a woman who came into our offices asking for help? Well, I've been in contact with her over the past few days and so far managed to get her some groceries for her and her family. With the help of a couple people who gave me cash to help in whichever way, we were able to get her in gear to apply for a job at a local supermarket (paying for passport pics, police record and opening bank accounts). Both she and her 17 year old daughter applied and guess what.... they both got jobs!! I am so happy. My next mission with the lady is to help her pay her first month's rent at a new place she has found, since the last landlord only gave her a short time to move out. After that, who knows.. I really wanna get her kids back in school and encourage her to get her high school diploma so she can make herself more marketable.
It makes me feel great to know that I have put a smile on someone else' face and that I have followed my heart and done something good for someone. God knows, I have been blessed so many times by my sisters and other family members, that its my turn now, to be a blessing to someone else!
Oh, btw, I'm one step closer to completing my apartment, getting Electricity Connection between today and tomorrow.. Yayyyy!!!
